Buying A Rod You've Never Seen

Hell, I can't decide until I've actually fished a rod for a few days and even then sometimes I can't decide..... I even tried taking a reel into the store with me and still can't get a real feel for it until I've actually fished it with the intended baits for awhile.... sucks but that's the game. I just order or buy from a store with the idea that it will cost me a few bucks to find out.

Do it all the time. Don't have a dealer anywhere near me. Have received rods, checked them out, and sent them back on my dime. Just like line, there is always some other rod out there that is better than what I've got.
