Bob’s on 98 Jaguar

Hey guys. I’m putting a Bob’s hydraulic Jack plate on my 98 Jaguar with 2009 250 Pro XS and trying to decide on 6” or 8”. Talked to a very knowledgeable fella at Bass Cat today and he said since the 98 had some wood in the transom I should probably go with a 6” over an 8”(we talked for quite a while but know need in putting all that info on here). He also said that it was built like a tank and I should post here an the Bass Cat board to see if anybody has had experience with similar setup for advice. The boat is in excellent shape and solid as a rock. What would be the advantage if any going with an 8” over 6”. Speed is irrelevant because the boat will go plenty fast now with the 6” manual Jack plate. Thanks
