    Good will Claim

    What does this usually cover, such as powerhead, lower unit, etc?

    It all depends on what was the issue. What year and horsepower, hours?

    Yep. Nature of the issue. Was the damage something that could have been operator induced or absolutely nothing the operator could have done? Length of time out of warranty and number of hours on the motor. Did the motor have a YES contract? How many warranty or YEA contract claims had been made? Has the owner owned other Yamaha products? Does the dealer advocate for the owner? Was the owner pleasant when asking for good will support?

    Found out it was a oil filter replaced couple months after they replaced my powerhead in 2014. Had the extended warranty (Y.E.S.) til 2020. On my warranty sheet it just had the date, casual part number & good will. Finally found out the part # and it was the oil filter assembly.
