Lake Chatuge

My wife is visiting her brother on Chatuge and our 13 year old son is going along. Just curious if anyone has any tips or info on it. Mostly will be fishing from shore. I see it has a lot of spots and stripers in it.

Also, does it have a good catfish population if they sit around in the evening.

Any chance you can rent a kayak? There are some good sized Spots in that lake but not sure you can get to them from shore. With a kayak, you could hit some good locations.

While you are there, get a beer and burger at Chevelle’s and if you have wheels, get to Jim’s Smokin Q for really good ribs and pulled pork. Desserts are good too.

My son went to college at Young Harris and know the lake fairly well.
