Boat cover question: Ultrex/targetlock/mega 360, PICS

Going to Maine next weekend for vacation, have a boat slip for the week, and was going to bring the boat cover.
Not sure if the boat cover will go over the trolling motor setup. What have you guys done in the past?

Add a Minn Kota MKA-23 Ultrex quick release bracket. You can just lift and rotate your Utrex/360/ML combo laying it down on the deck and your original cover will then fit.

Both the MEGA 360 and TL can be removed from the mount plate by loosening the attachment bolts so they slide out via the slots.
Three for the MEGA 360 and 4 for the TL.

Doing that with 360/MEGA 360 is common for big waters by replacing the two outside bolts with display gimbal knob/bolts and slightly loosening the inside bolt.

I have an Ulterra and (non-Mega) 360 on a Cumberland Crappie mount; I had no choice but to go the route of having a custom (ratcheting) cover made locally, but IMO, it was money well spent.

That being said, one of the things I did consider was a modular solution.... essentially cutting out an opening in my old cover (that the TM/360 would stick up through) and essentially having a separate "pocket" that would cover the TM/360 & attach to the main cover with a wrap-around zipper; the primary driver behind this was so that if the TM/360 was dismounted, I could just zipper-in a "blank" and still use the cover. But after a brief discussion with my canvas-maker - who had never seen something like this in several decades of work but was still up for the challenge - we both decided it would be better to simply design the cover as a one-piece with the TM/360 mounted. This obviously leaves some slack when the TM/360 is dismounted, but this would only be a problem if I were trailering at highway speed. Since the rain runs off and I always have the TM/360 mounted when I travel, the one-piece was the best solution.

Boat cover - I took mine to an car/boat upholstery shot and they added material that I got from Phoenix, which solved all problems.

I also installed a custom ram mount support brace for my Megalive/Livescanner. I only use it on long runs. I never take my 360 off - even on Champlain, Ontario etc.

I have the same issue. My aurora canvas cover no longer fits with the 360. Need to have it altered with some additional canvas.

Any good Canvas shop can add a custom piece to your cover. I have a pontoon with Downriggers on the front and had my local shop modify my cover to go over the downriggers.
