    Rpm's

    Question is.
    Will a newly rebuilt motor ( 2.5 )
After the 10 hour break in period and not using double oil any longer pick up any rpm's? I'm at around 7 hours and just starting to use full throttle. My rpm's seam a little lower than before the rebuild but I have Not tried for top speed only full throttle for short 30 second periods.
I'm wanting to have my prop cleaned up but think I should wait until fall after break in and cooler temps. Might wanna change it.

High temps definitely will, and I have heard some gain rpm after break in but not sure how much. About how far off are you?

    Maybe 4 hundred.
I'm sure some is the heat and humidity.
And with a Basscat you have to drive it to get the last few hundred rpm's. And I haven't really tried sense not fully broken in. Max rpm is 6700 so I'm taking My time. Was running 6700 before rebuild but I don't normally run it that hard.

Was running a 23 tempest plus. Worked by Mark. At 6700 rpm. Before rebuild.
On a 94 Eyra. Hopefully I'll get better results when the motor is broken in and cooler weather starts.
