Railroad beds?

Does anyone know , before they flooded Jordan. Was railroad beds, left as is or did they remove crossties?

Mike, no one is to likely tell you anything like that. Those kind of places when found are kept very secretive by the ones that find things like that. Now there are ways to find answers to questions like that, but if you dont know how to most likely no one is willing to tell you.

If they did leave the ties and rails,they have been silted over. I’ve seen some of the beds at Jordan and Kerr when the water was low,nothing visible but dirt,not even any gravel that I can recall.

I think the returns depend on what the beds are covered with,if anything. As you know,mud and sand will show different returns.

Ties on RRs on Jordan are very visible on down and side scan.
