Power loss while running

I have a 2017 115 E-tec. A couple of times lately the motor loses power when running about 5000-5200 rpm. Could be running, and the motor loses rpm,and dies sometimes. Other times it drops to 3000-3500 rpm, then clears up, back to where it was. Only happens later in the day, when it is hotter. If it dies, sometimes restarts easily, other times needs multiple tries to refire.
Took to the dealer, nothing in the codes indicating a problem. Fuel filter was new last fall. Not an issue in the early morning, cooler weather ? Suggestions ? Thank you in advance .

Basic first. Spark plugs, compression? Also may want to look at the vapor separator and a small filter in the canister.
