Guys,
Working on set up due to motor replacement. Currently it's mounted directly to the transom about 4.25" below the pad. I can barely trim it and the wheel torque is very hard to hold. The prop is a 25 4 blade which was on it before. I think we need to go up and maybe add a torque tab. I should mention it has dual cable steering. And suggestions is appreciated. Thanks.
Add setback, at least six inches, and hydraulic steering. From there you can continue with different props and tuning the height of the engine.
Thanks. Due to lack of funds after new engine purchase the 2 suggestions will have to wait. It wasn't a planned swapped, lost a cyclinder in the old one. Looking for a motor height and possible prop suggestion to make it work better as is.

find a good used 10 inch jack plate when funds are available
