    Which pellet grill?

I'm wanting to get a pellet grill. Normally cooking for 2 but never over 10. Not going to be using but couple times a month. What y'all suggest?

Been happy with our RecTeq Stampede after 3 years. App is very convenient and easy, temperature control is perfect whether it’s 10’F OR 100’F outside. We smoke on it, bake on it, and cook on the sear plates we added (pizza, breakfast, burgers). Works well for 2 or a thanksgiving bird for the extended family.

My son has a RecTeq Bull. If I were buying a pellet grill that would be my choice. Exceptional build quality and cooking performance.
The 340 or 590 might fit your needs without being way more than you need.

Previously had a GMG but went Recteq on this purchase and love it so far. Holds temps steady and great flavor.

    Good luck in your search!

Love my Green Mountain Grill. Possibly the best I've seen has been the 100% American made Smokin Brothers. https://smokinbrothers.com/

Alright guys don't shame me to bad but I was I Walmart just looking at the different pellets available and they had the store brand (expert grill). The display model had a scratch on in and was priced at $100 normally $317. I went ahead and got it. I don't expect this thing to be as good as the more known brands but I think I will let me know if I'll like the pellet grill and upgrade later. I have used it twice so far. Rack of baby back ribs and leg quarters. I have to say this is a grill for dummies. Seems hard to mess up the cooking.

I've got a Grilla chimp that I love. Big enough for 3 racks of ribs or a bunch of chicken wings or legs. I normally cook for at least 4 and haven't had a space issue. Plus you can folding it an take it with you. Worth looking at.

Oh, they do have scratch and dents for sale but you have to contact them direct. Save a few $$$ that way.

I shopped like crazy for the best bang for the buck. It truly is. https://www.bbqguys.com/victory/free...l-black-bbq-pg

I particularly like being able to cover the diffuser with foil for easy clean up. The videos talk about the smoke. It's 100% true. 29 lb. hopper. Wheels are excellent too. Larger front shelf. And the food....

I have a Pitts & Spits pellet grill. Built like a tank. I had a Treager XL for years but Wild temperature swings had me looking elsewhere. The P & S is so steady temp wise it's hard to believe. No complaints here!

I agree. We have had our RecTeq Bull for over 4 years now. There is nothing we haven’t really cooked on it. In the Summer we use it as an oven to not heat on the house. They got rid of the “Bull” name now and just call it the RT-700. I believe it references the square inches of cooking available.

When we purchased ours we bout it as a package. The extra interior shelf we have used only once. You can really cook a lot of food on it. I’m thinking of buying my retired parented the RT-340 as an Xmas gift year.

For what it’s worth I chose RecTeq due to their customer service and build quality at the time. Since then I have seen a lot of other manufacturers have stepped up their game so I won’t really say anything about the other models.

if something happens to our grill I’m buying another ReqTeq the next day.

Sorry about the typos as I am responding on my cell.

For that price you can’t go wrong! I haven’t seen any pellet grills for that price being sold new.

I cooked a boston butt on the PB and was very pleased with the results. I used hickory pellets and the bark was great, the smokiness was right there with my offset smoker, had a nice smoke ring and was tasted great.

I have 2 traegers, one Green Mountain, one Camp Chef, and a Country Smoker portable tailgate model and have owned pellet grills since 2004. I purchased a Yoder YS640 a couple months ago and I all I can say it is like going from a jon boat to a decked out 21' Ranger. Amazing piece of American made machinery. I still like having the Traegers as backup and for complex meal preparation where you need more than one cooking chamber, but I will be getting rid of the GMG and the Camp Chef. It really comes to how much do you want to spend? I think the Yoder is so well built I won't have to buy another smoker the rest of my life.
