    Eastern NC River question

Hey all, heading to the Roanoke next week and since it will be my first River fishing experience I was inquiring about putting in at the Plymouth ramp. I have a regular trailer (not galvanized or aluminum) and really, really don’t want to have it rust out a year from now. The closest I have been to that area was when I was stationed in Elizabeth City years ago but couldn’t have afforded a boat if I had tried.

    Thanks in advance, Bill

You won’t have any trouble with brackish water at any ramp on Roanoke, too much current and fresh water for salt.

The Roanoke is the best of all the ramps down there for freshwater. There’s usually always some current coming down stream. Now some of the other ramps that have brackish water I always wash mine down when I get back home
