Old Farmer
An old farmer was driving down his country road and came to the 4-way stop intersection,instead of stopping,he looked both ways and rolled through the intersection.A deputy sheriff coming the other way saw him do it and stopped him.
"Sir,I stopped you for rolling through the intersection.You're supposed to come to a complete stop."
The old farmer said "son,I've drove this road for over 40 years,I've rolled through this intersection every time and have never had a accident. I don't see the difference between stopping and slowing down."
The deputy says "Sir,if you will exit your vehicle,I will demonstrate the difference".
The old farmer gets out of his vehicle,and the deputy pulls out his nightstick and gives the old farmer several hard whacks on the head.
"Now Sir,would you like me to stop,or slow down?"
