    "94 150 EFI?

Running down the lake @ 5000 hit the trim and the engine cuts out momentarily and keeps doing it. It starts right up every time and run 4000 all day with trimming up or down. Take it past 4000 and it cuts out when the trim button is pushed. Anyone have a clue? We've checked voltages, changed filters, changed regulators with no help. It doesn't do it all the time. Thanks.

Moving your thread to the correct (2.5L) Forum. Please be sure to update with the serial number.

Inspect the trim motor wiring coming through the transom brackets and up into the cowling, to make sure there are no breaks or chafed areas that may be shorting.

If you do not move the trim, will the engine spool up to max RPM's?

May be a dead short (unless you're maxed out on the trim range and continue to try to make it run up).

He checked every wire to the lower unit and found the cable, black, blue and green to be pinched when the lower unit came down. I Checked the wires and everything was intact and looked good. 12v on green down. 12v on blue up and black was common. He hasn't ran the boat since we checked.

That would do it. Make sure those wires are repaired "water/moisture tight" and routed/retained so that they cannot become lodged in between the transom bracket/swivel bracket.
