Tie down cleats on a classic

I have a '93 372V that has the recoil type ropes on the port and starboard back and one centered on the bow. I assume that is where the factory typically installed them.
They're nearly 30 years old and don't work very good anymore. I want to add standard cleats and I'm wondering if anyone has a boat of that era that had standard cleats on their boat either installed by the factory or added later. My question is where are the positioned on the boat? Any help (pictures) would be appreciated.

Attwood Boat Rein or Anchor Rein. They no longer make them, but they do show up on eBay periodically. The one in the bow is very handy for launching by yourself.

Thanks texag87, that's what I'm looking for. Do you also have cleats on the gunnels toward the bow of your boat? If so, I'd love to see where those are located.

I took out my anchor reins, used the chrome cleat part and used a SS carriage bolt through the center with a big washer and nut underneath. No new holes needed.

paulrodbender, that's a great idea. Did you add any other cleats on the gunnels towards the bow, or do you just use the one in the middle front?

here’s my cleat location on front of boat, basically lined it up with where stowed trolling motor ends for ease of use (had to make pic small)390D2185-D2E1-4F56-83CE-2D779B382060.jpeg

I only did it to the one on the bow. I don’t like any cleats on the gun gunnels and I even removed my rails. If yours is like mine you could do the same with the ones in the rear. I can snap a picture if you need….

I have the original ones that pull out on the bow and both rear ones ,along with a set of standard fixed up front ,towards the front of the boat about where the end of the trolling motor head is maybe back a foot or so on both sides on my 374V IMG_5760.JPG IMG_5758.JPG IMG_5759.JPG

twitch, did you put the fixed ones up front? That was where I thought I would put one on each side, but I can't get to that spot from inside my rod boxes. How did you do it?

The 300 series have reinforcement on the underside of the gunnel in the area of the cleats and the TM mounting locations. The cleats on my 361-V were mounted via four each No. 8 stainless beveled wood screws. You should not need access to the underside to thru-bolt them. Hope this helps.
