I’ve got a new RT188P and I’m wanting to purchase and install active target. I was hoping to get some input on where anyone with a 188P and live sonar have been mounting the box. All and any input is greatly appreciated.

I put mine in the front starboard side storage box mounted on the vertical wall closest to the bow. I drilled a hole through this wall and ran the wires up to the bow. With the TM tray removed you could easily fish the wiring. It did take up a very small amount of storage from the compartment but it's minimal.
I have the regular 188 not the P but I mounted my LiveScope module and a 30AH Lithium battery in the Starboard locker. I mostly stow soft pliable items in this locker so storage loss was not significant.

Regular RT188 but I did the same thing.
I have a 198P, pulled the foot pedal box. Mounted under the bow.
