What about Taylorsville, Green, Cumberland, Laurel or Nolin?

Sure they do, not miles of matted grass like Guntersville, but they have plenty of isolated patches of grass, also plenty of wood and rock cover to fish.

The OP is specifically looking for grass like Guntersville. None of the lakes you suggested have anything remotely close to that.

I am pretty sure if there was any lakes like Guntersville closer they would be going there to begin with.

Green has no grass. Not even isolated patches. The only time theres a blade of grass in the lake is when it floods

None of those have grass. At all. Unless it floods and someone’s yard gets wet.
