To Port Brusly locks ???

Does anyone ever put in the intercoastal at the locks by the new bridge in Brusly ?
Im thinking of making a few trips over there to see if they have a few fish or not just to have somewhere to go that doesnt cost me $150 in gas .
This place is exactly 30 min. from my house and shouldnt burn a ton of gas and Im just wondering if anyone fish's this area .
Anything to look for and any area to stay away from ?

Been few times, to test props. I haven’t seen to many fisherman, parking lot always empty. Steep launch, keep bow line hooked till near water. Watch for barge traffic near launch. Good luck
