80's mariner 25hp motor. S/N 0G189303. Engine starts and idles great. But when I put it in forward gear and give it throttle it bogs down and stalls out. Gas lines are new and has fresh fuel.
Where do I begin to trouble shoot. What are some starting points to check.
Make sure it has good compression, spark on both cylinders, and fresh spark plugs. If those are correct, it's a fuel delivery problem (fuel pump/carb).
