    Final update.
Had the boat out today and the Vessel View showed 58mph @ 5400rpm at WFO, water pressure at 14.9psi, temp holding at 120*F in 77* water, 81* air temp. Load was 2 fishermen, light tackle load, full livewells and 25 gallons of fuel. Hole shot is great, rpm starts at 3300 shooting up to 4000 at plane. All prop vent holes are plugged. Verified ptp is 4”. No jack plate.
    I’m thinking this setup can’t be improved upon: 150 Optimax Pro SX, 23p Tempest+, 4” ptp, 2013 Stratos 189vlo
Many thanks to all who offered advice!

You said that you verified the P2P and now you are at 4". Here is the P2P procedure just in case.

If you are blowing out just as you break over, try not to start trimming up too early, which could cause it to blow out. Let her break over, and than start trimming accordingly. My 26" Tempest+ will tend to do that even with Croxton adding cupping on the rake, if I trim too early while breaking over.
My best to you and tight lines.
    Frank
