Which brands are using Karavan trailers ?

The short version is that I’m in the market for 18’ tin .
I will never own another Karavan trailer !
I know Ranger is still on Ranger trail trailers.
Who else is not sitting on a Karavan ?

Ranger is not on Ranger Trail trailers anymore. My older one is but the newer ones are something else. I just know they switched them up because my dealer told me. I'm not saying they are bad just that they're different.

I think it was 2020. The Ranger trailers are now built at the same plant as Tracker and share a lot of the same components.
Express makes their own trailer and you can choose aluminum or steel. I have never owned one but they appear to be well built.

I can verify that Xpress BackTrack trailers are outstanding. My uncle had and X17 and an X19 with these aluminum trailers. VERY heavy duty and in the 17 years he owned the boats, not one problem. My 2015 RT has the old style C Channel trailer. I've seen the new iteration and it has the protective coating, but it is tubular.

I believe that Vexus also makes their own trailers. If I was buying a tin boat right now it would either be them or xpress. I really like the xpress boats with the sea deck. They are a little more than the others, but they seem very well built like Bill said above.

In 2020 Ranger switched from inhouse to having them made by Easy-Loader Trailers, to Ranger's specs.

Many boat DEALERS sell Karavan as the trailer they package their boats with. Those dealers get the trailers from Karavan and the rest from the boat, engine, etc companies. Although there may be some boat builders who use Karavan in their boat packages, I am not aware of them. It is dealer choice in my experience.

12 years selling Lowe and Karavan. So far so good. Never had a warranty issue. Bunk carpet could be better.

Had a Karavan under my Lowe and the only issue was a leaky seal on one hub, called them and they immediately sent replacements. Bent an axle (my fault) I called them and ordered parts, their parts guys sent everything timely and at a fair price. They also supplied me with torque specs and some recommendations which worked great. I chose to switch to an aluminum trailer but the Karavan support was outstanding.

I ordered a 2021 Ranger 198P, which I never got. At that time the trailers for the glass boats were being made by EZ Loader in Midway, AR and the trailers for the tin boats were made at the Tracker facility in Ozark, MO, same place my Nitro trailer was made. I've not seen anything different. My Nitro trailer has been good.
