Don't listen to these old coots on here...thanks for sharing. That is an older trick with new school look to it. Another trick is add a split shot weight to the hook.

Owner makes a belly weighted hook that was designed by Gary Y. just for that application. The wt is back farther than other belly weighted hooks and gives it that action.
Is that NAS I hear? Also look into the chicken rig if you want a weedless wacky rig that skips.
