    Service life?

    Have a friend looking at a Ranger boat with a 2004 Honda 225 on it. Currently at 1100 hours. Is this motor getting close to needing major repair? Compression #’s were big spread from a low of 185 to 220. Thank you.

    Coast Guard puts that many hours and more on them without any major issues. I really don't know what the record number of hours are on one but my 225 is running strong but then again, I only have around 300 hours on it.

    Seen Thousands of hours on the Hondas, Compression may be a issue but Im not sure.
