    USA 19 SE question

    Hello all!!
I'm new to the forum and new to the wonderful
    world of Triton.
my question is: I just bought a 2013 Triton SE
and on it’s maiden voyage I thought it porpoised
pretty badly. I tried all kinds of trim angles,
but the only way to stop it was to trim all the
way down. Never did get to WOT, porpoising
got too bad. Years ago I owned a Champion
that did the same thing. Finally installed a
whale tail and solved the problem.
What am I missing, guys? Any advice as to what
i need to look for would be appreciated. Thanks
    min advance

Whale tail should be out of the water at anything over slow plane so won’t do anything at WOT. Most will porpoise if you trim too high too early. Think of throttle as power and trim as speed. If you hammer down, wait til it falls over on plane to start trimming, never come out of the throttle and porpoise then you have an issue with the hull or the setup.

You've probably got your motor up too high. What Jack plate do you have? I've got a '13 Triton 19SE as well and I've never had any issues with "porpoising"
