You either want a real play off or a popularity contest.

Other teams need to step their program up to compete.

Tesla is designing battery powered buses to transport contestants between East and West coast as part of a demand from USC/UCLA alumni before deal was finalized.

I see 4 4team divisions for the big 10 and SEC. Play the 3 teams in your division and play two from each other division for a total of 9 league games. Then they will have a Semifinal and Championship games. Winner of the conference going to the National Championship. Essentially the growth of confrences will equate to a larger CFB Playoff with the semifinal games and championship games being part of the playoff.

As a born and raised husker fan I find this hilarious. The only thing that should happen is USC should get Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and UCLA in their first year. Same for UCLA. A nice welcome to the big ten like Nebraska got.

When the Big East crumbled, and all of those realignments happened in the following year or two I thought that was about as bad as it would get. And then Texas and OU left. Now this. Pretty sad. I think Finebaum or one of the other sportscasters was saying the bigs in college football are headed towards two superconferences. Not sure where tradition and all of those historic rivalries would fit into two superconferences. Seems like if most of those colleges stuck with 5-7 major conferences there would be enough money to go around while keeping all of those rivalries intact. But I guess when it comes down to it, it’s the same reason those golfers left for the LIV tour. In the end, it’s about the money.
