    16 1/2 ‘ 2000 Skeeter setup recommendations.

    I’m trying to help a guy with a 2000 16 1/2’ Skeeter single console bass boat. He bought and had a 2022 Yamaha 4 stroke 115 hp installed. He says that doesn’t come out of the water well. Initial inspection looks like it is deep. I will guess close to 6” p to p. It is mounted as low as it will go. It has a 3 blade 21” pitch prop. Thanks for what ever information that you can help me with.

    3.5 prop to pad is the ideal place to start as far as engine height. That thing definitely needs to come up.

    If it doesn't have a jack plate set it in the second hole from the top which should make it 4.25" under pad.
