Question Ranger RT livewell overflow plugs...

    livewell_overflow_1.jpglivewell_overflow_2.jpg

Trying to find a plug that will fit the two livewell overflow ports on the RT to prevent water from backwashing in during launch, coming off pad, etc. I can get the well 1/4 or more full when not using it from backwash. Measured and it looked like a 1" diameter threaded plug would work so I grabbed them from the home center. No dice... they do not fit. Do any of you plug the livewell overflows when not in use and what do you use if so?

I had same problem. Boat came with 1 threaded plug and 2 needed. Dealer parts man no help
I found the plugs at flow rite which made most of the plumbing in the livewell.
shipping was expensive so I also ordered a set of spares for the different fittings and nozzles

You will want part ma-050 11/8” drain plug, screw in
costs $1.99 but shipping is terrible so I suggest you get extra nozzles

    Thx Don!
Looks like you can order them on Amazon for $1.99/ea with just $5.99 shipping, far less than shipping when order direct from the company off their site:

I have an RT178 and just use the normal boat drain plug with the small T handle that expands the plug once inserted. I use the live wells for storage. If I need to use the live wells, I just pull the plugs out.
