Mike if your considering plugging the pedestal hole in the floor of the boat keep in mind that hole aide's in draining the cockpit area to the bilge in addition to the floor drain. FYI

You’re not going to have a water drainage problem from the front or rear decks. At least I never have, as all the deck water quickly finds its way down to the cockpit floor. Install plugs in those [seat pedestal] holes if you like. I got some removable, black plastic ones from my dealer a few years ago.

I've had all 4 plugs installed and been in some nasty downpours with zero drainage issues.

Front & rear deck plugs are fine. The one in the floor has double sq in of drain capacity than the louvered floor drain. If you ever spear a swell and fill the cockpit that open pedestal hole is important.
The front deck hole should be capped on the underside, I believe. To prevent water from draining into center compartment.
Works for me on multiple different platforms.
Maybe others can confirm?
