It's not really a "mod" more so an DIY accessory?
So while browsing installation videos on YouTube, I came across one with Jimmy Houston where they had to relocate his trailer harness plug holder
and me not having installed mine yet, I got to thinking there's gotta be a better way...
After digging through my shop, I found the answer! 3/4" marine board!
Behold! A mounting block that gives you a surface to install a plug holder!

It took a band-saw, drill-press (with a vise), and a dremel to cut and shape this, but I bet someone with a milling machine could make real quick work of it!
The biggest PITA was drilling the holes through the block as my drill press didn't have enough travel to go through the entire block in one go. I had to drill, slide the plate higher, and drill again. Due to the multiple adjustments, there was a slight deviation that I had to go back and re-drill....
Not only does it give you a surface to mount things, it also covers up them bright ass gold bolts that made my OCD brain itch.
