Brucato acu or repair stock ecu

I have a 1995 Mercury 200xri efi. It has a 824003 1 ecu that act like it is dropping injector pair intermittently. I am wondering in people's experience is it better to buy a brucato acu or send the stock one out for repair at a place like Simon motorsports or cdi?

I personally would repair the OEM unless the engine has been modified. Simon's has done a number of them for me.
