    Bad warning alarm?

2004 procraft 192 super pro 2004 mercury xr6 150. Warning horn sounds upon start up as it should but while idling and even running it makes this high pitched chirping sound almost like extremely loud crickets is the best way I can describe it. It is not a warning alarm for oil or tem.
Volt meter is running just barely over 14v while motor is running. When I hit the trim button the voltage drops to near 12v, chirping stops until it hits the 12v mark then will start to go again. have good water pressure running 20 to 30 psi, oil is feeding as it should. Could this be a sign of a bad battery? Possible over charging? Is the warning buzzer in the ignition or is it the small round white tab with a metal disc inside it . It's extremely annoying any help is appreciated.

Just checked the batteries. Had a loose terminal. Hopefully that fixed it. I'm hoping/assuming that was it as it didn't start until I swapped batteries.
