Malibu Red

I’m looking at a new eyra that the sides are Maibu Red. How dark is this color? Is it gonna show scuff marks from fishing in standing timber?

Malibu red is basically black gel with some red flake in it. It will show scuff marks as any dark colour will.

I had a 2016 Puma that the primary color was Malibu Red. As said above, it is almost black, only shows the "fleck" in the sunshine. It scuffed easier than other colors. I remember Rick telling me to avoid any color with Malibu in the name as they are dark and more easily scuffed, if that was a concern for me. Malibu Red wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but I would prefer another color.

They all scuff the same from white to black, they just show it more on darker colors, just like white cars.

I have maibu red on most of my boat. It will show scuffs. But it looks good in the sun. I like mine. Just keep a good wax on it to help slide around timber. It does help some

I had Malibu red on my P2. It was the best looking combo of the different Cats that I have owned. As mentioned, you need to get up close in the sunshine to see the red flake. When I order another Cat, it will be Malibu red again.

I believe that technically all the Malibu colors are actually clear gel with black flake along with a light sprinkling of whatever other color you choose - silver, red, blue...
