    Damage to Transducer

    Wayne,
A while ago I tried to put my boat on the trailer with the TM down, don't ever try to do that it doesn't work. Consequently, the TM was useless after that and I replaced it with a Fortrex unit. The issue I am having is the transducer, a Humminbird Xtm-9-Hw-Mdi-75-T did move on the TM motor head and I had an opening in the cable which I closed with liquid electrical tape. I most likely should have replaced the transducer as it just doesn't seem to be providing good images. The fish arches are not clean, etc. I know I have to wait until August to purchase one but is there a test I can do in the mean time. Thanks

The only test is with a known good transducer to make sure you did not damage the unit processor when you damaged the cable.
