Front Storage Compartment

Anyone have a mid 90's 193? If so can you tell me how far your front storage compartment opens? I think the wrong size lift shocks might be on here. It doesnt opent very far until the shocks are maxed out. My deck (from the console area has a step, tackle storage comparment, main compartment and the little 8 or 10" compartment in front of that.
