0* vs 8* angled Livescope transducer mount option

the 8* mount is what comes standard with the Livescope transducer.
The mount on my trolling motor broke so I went to order a new one & noticed the 2 different angled option
Has anyone found a better resolutin option of the 2 when mounted above an ULTREX?

Take a look at the Fish Obsessed Dominator mount. I put one on my Ultrex and I am very pleased with it. It also has a zero degree mount.

Are you using a Perspective mount?

If you're primarily in Down VU, vertically jigging deeper water, I think the 0* is the better option. Otherwise the 8* will probably be the way to go.

My 34 is mounted on the shaft of my Ultrex with the 8 degree mount. No problems with the forward or down. I don't use the perspective mount which has an 11 degree mount. If yours is the newer LVS 34 I think I have an extra 8 & 11 degree mount. Let me know. Steve

0 degree sucks in hard bottom shallow-mid water.

Could you expand a little on the effect on a hard bottom in your description?

I am having trouble visualizing the "sucks in" part.

    Thanks

Anytime i am fishing hard bottom (rocks) or usually at the dam, I get all kind of reflection returns. Zero degree works fine most of the time for me.

Will this work on the 34 unit? I use perspective mode.
