Mega live freeze

Good day

waited a year for my mega live to arrive in a retail store in Canada

used it for the first time today. Big disappointment.

freezes constantly and need to turn battery power of to turn helix off, then power back on
.

heres my setup
new Helix g4n+ 10
both 10 and live have there own direct 10 g power wire
both have current software 1.150 and 2.660
battery voltage 12.3v
when I'm on forward facing and I do a scan using my ultrex the screen freezes.
happened 10 times in a 4 hour fish outing

any ideas that may solve the problem?

Try powering the ML before the Helix. Give it a few minutes before powering the Helix. I added an on/off switch for my ML just so I could turn it on before any head units. Good luck.

Your battery voltage is low.

Its a known software issue per humminbird , sent mine back twice to the factory no help and they keep selling them

So talked with humminbird tech today
they want me to connect live directly into the Ethernet connection on back of helix unit,
thats great, I will loose the one boat network having 2 helix units.
I will try
I did notify my buddy with the same issue, He did the split screen option and has eliminated his freezing issues.

This may help but may not. I have helix 10 g4n for ML only. I power Ethernet first, then switch on ML, and then power on the 2 helix I have had only one freeze(when I restored defaults)for about 100 hours usage. Good luck!

Dedicated lithium battery fixed my issues with Mega Live.
