    Helix Imaging Clutter

I'm seeing a lot of clutter on the side and down imaging of my Helix 10 G2. My sensitivity and contrast are both currently set at 9. I've tried higher and lower settings with little improvement.

Can anyone identify a potential cause of the problem from the attached photos? I don't have the transducer model number, but I can find out and add it this evening.

    Thanks

Dynamic Contrast will take care of a lot of the "fog" from particles (algae, silt, plankton) or air in the water or thermocline.

No setting will eliminate the close object lines caused by a vertical surface near the transducer.

    The transducer model is irrelevant.

This is after a flooding rain with colder/muddy water:

Dynamic Contrast allowed using the MEGA frequency to get the details:

I really appreciate the education, Wayne. The display does improve considerably when over deeper, cleaner water. I hope dynamic contrast looks half as good on my unit!
