Moonroof- How much do you use it?

I use mine almost daily unless its raining. I would not be without one.

I rarely use mine except on cloudy days. My wife on the other hand always has it open, just he shade though.

If it is nice out I'll open mine up, I use it a bunch in the spring and fall but the shade stays slid closed when the pooch is in the truck.

Only used on the first few nice days of spring after a long winter. New truck doesn’t have one and I don’t miss it. I definitely wouldn’t pay extra for one. I’d get the 360 camera package instead, much more useful and that’s something that gets used all the time.

Have one in my '20 Tundra and use it mainly in the cooler moths of the year. Do use the rear window more than sunroof....

Never use them! In fact I had a silverado I bought new in 2008 that had one, and it leaked bad. They finally fixed it right the 3rd time they had it. When it rained the water would run down by my door and it ruined speakers. We ordered my wife an Impala in 2015 with every option BUT the sunroof!! I do have one in my 2019 Ford F250, but it was the only way to get a lariot. That sucker is huge too, I opened it once in my garage and never again. I even leave the lining forward so you don't see it from inside cause the heat coming through the glass sucks.

Had one in my last 4 trucks....use it all the time. Won't get one without. Hell I'll open it up in the winter as long as it's not frozen shut(yes I like the cold alot better than heat). Everyone else's sun roofs must be alot more than the 995 I ordered in my silverado....lol

My fishing buddy is a tow truck driver and he has responded to hundreds of accidents. He said that a Moonroof is the worst thong to have on a vehicle. Many rollover accidents and ther driver or passenger was ejected through the moonroof and cut into pieces or the roof collapsed and crushed the occupants. He talked me out of ever ordering one.

All vehicles with sun/moon roofs must pass a series of normal and abnormal crash events. All vehicles have the same safety pillar cages in the roof design. A sun roof has zero effect per studies in the structural integrity of the roof of the vehicle. The people who are being ejected obviously are not wearing their seatbelt and therefore has no bearing on the sunroof as they would have been thrown through other windows just the same.
