Moonroof- How much do you use it?

If the price is right and the vehicle has it I'll buy it. If i'm ordering or purchasing and it's not included on a package I want for other things I try to avoid the extra cost as very rarely gets used.

My wife's Lexus came with one although we rarely use it.

Now I can't take her vehicle to Wilson Lake or the buzzards might eat the rubber around the moonroof

So I'll be getting a new Tundra over the next 6 months or so and while I initially wanted a moonroof I now wonder if it is very important to me. I've never had a vehicle with a moonroof. My wife has a Subura Forester with a moonroof and she rarely uses it and I find it adds a lot of heat when the shade is open but the window is still closed.

So how say you? Is a moonroof worth it to you? It's about a 2k feature. Thanks for advice.

Never use them, maybe if some young stud out on a date, you know with little gal.
But in all honesty there just trouble down road in long TERM, IF DRAINS get clogged they leak, then your inside ceiling gets stained and wet, nothing but a pain in ass if happens.
Last one clogged on me I blew air and thin wire and everything but take the whole side trim apart down to the windshield where it drained to above the front wheel.
Finally I just took a waterproof silicone for windshield and sealed the dang things from top, never leaked again.

Had one in my wife's Trailblazer and very seldom used it. When we bought her new car we had to shop around to find one that didn't come with one.

Use it whenever I can. Never had a leak in any of the vehicles I have owned.

Love mine and use daily when it’s not raining. Usually I just crack it to where the back is elevated for ventilation. It works awesome to pull the hot air out when you first get into the truck on a hot day. I also just crack the shade, truck cools down inside a lot quicker than with it shut. This is my third vehicle with one and have never had a leak, I always make sure the interior roof gutter/drain in clean, about once a year. Most do not realize this which can cause interior leaks. It’s also nice to open the shade in the twilight hrs to let a little more ambient light into the cab.

Wife loves them so all vehicles have them. I can't really stand them and always shut the shade, I always wear sunglasses so why do I want the shining in my roof?

On my second truck with a moonroof. We use it all the time. We as in myself, wife and the dog. He'd prefer hanging his head out of it vs. anything else. :)
