    Lake & Guide recommendations

I will be spending next winter on the east coast of Florida, and would like some recommendations for Lake/Guide combinations for trophy bass. Like many, I am looking for that one fish that breaks the double digit weight barrier . Already have someone picked out for Okeechobee. Looking at Rodman,St John's River, West Toho, Kissimmee, Stick Marsh to start with. Thanks in advance for any information.

Double digits ... Kissimmee. Quantity ... Okeechobee.
No clue on the best guides on Kissimmee currently.
I'm sure someone else will chime in on it quickly.

And for a trophy bass, be ready to fish with shiners.
Our fish have seen a LOT of pressure, they're sharp.
If you're insistent on lures, book additional days.

If you're on facebook look up the Headwaters Lake pages and guides pages. Also you can look up Headwaters Lake on youtube.

For double digit I’d look for a lake that hasn’t been sprayed to death. Unfortunately that would have you fishing in Georgia. Headwaters might be the best option here if they leave it alone.

Plenty of big fish in the river cut of Kissimmee, among a few other places.
Hire a good local guide, pay him properly, be polite and you'll have a shot.
Lived on Hatchineha for awhile. It's a good fishery, but challenging too.

Sean Rush. He is a guide on Rodman and will give you a damn good shot at a double digit fish. His son Brice is a pretty damn good guide too on Rodman.

LOL. if you like to sit on the back deck and watch him fish for 800 bucks a day, that's the trip to book.

Is this a personal observation? I've seen Roland out guiding shiner trips several times and he works his ass off.....

    Chuck Pippin for Toho

There are several guides for Headwaters, Andrew Mixon and Kenny Haas are the 2 that I see posting regularly on the Headwaters facebook page.

Honestly, I think your best chance at a double digit bass would be Headwaters, especially around that time of year.

Include in your search the guys from Hooked on Headwaters. That have some guide partners and they also have navigation videos on the lakes in the area.

    Agreed.

On the Kissimmee Chain Chuck Pippin is the Best Hands Down.

Either Andrew or Kenny for the Headwaters Lake. Both are Excellent on what they do.
