Garmin 126SV and LVS32 Best Stand Alone Battery Set Up?

Currently running ( 2 ) North Star Group 31 X2 AGM batteries in parallel for Mercury 250 Pro XS ( 2 stroke ) and ( 3 ) Lowrance HDS 12’s and Garmin 126 SV and LVS32. Current set up works very well but I want to eliminate ( 1 ) of the X2’s for weight reduction. Looking for suggestions on a stand alone battery set up for just the Garmin and LVS32. Thanks Mike

I have a 106sv and LVS32 on an Amped Outdoors 30 AH Lithium. Works great.

Thanks Bill. Can you get a full day of usage with the 30 amp?

Yes, I normally fish 8 hour tournaments, but I have had some 10 hour practice days. This is a relatively inexpensive battery and does not have Bluetooth so I can’t measure remaining charge but I have never seen it drop below 12.8 on the Garmin screen.

I have the same 30ah lithium on my boat with a 1022 and livescope but I've never seen my voltage at 12.8. Mine usually starts out at 12.7 and after about 10 hrs I've had it down to 12.4volts.

You sure after full charge its 12.7 that seems like a problem with battery or charger ,I use the little charger that comes with it and I see 16v

That just means your wiring and/or connections are not satisfactory.

I run an Ionic 30ah with bluetooth app on phone to my Helix 10, 106sv, and livescope box. Draws about 3 amps total, so I get about 10 hours rin time. Mine is mounted in a front storage compartment, so run is very short and I get 13+ v most of the day.

this sounds like the 32 ah Amped battery. https://ampedoutdoors.com/collection...c-with-charger

I've never seen more than 13.2V on a full charge on my 30 ah Amped. Two other guys I fish with run the same setup and they have had the same experience. I run a 1222 and black box and can get a little over 11 hours from a full charge.

Their website shows actual voltage at 12.8 and like I said mine only shows 12.8 on the unit itself. Mine is in the front compartment running maybe 10 ft with 10g wire. Really not sure how some are showing 16v. Maybe my battery is defective since new but it looks like I'm on target to there specs.

Right now Ionic (I believe the best Lithiums with bluetooth and best warranty and customer service) are on an amazing discount "Summer Sale".

I know this thread has already run it’s course, but I wanted to throw my experience out there for anyone researching this topic.

I recently installed a 1222 with LVS32 and GLS10 all connected to an Amped Outdoors 32ah 14.8v lithium. On my second trip out, that setup lasted about 11.5 hours for me before it got down to 11v on my graph and I turned it off. This was after playing with it and installing updates the day before and not charging, so I suspect it would have lasted about 12 hours if it was a completely charged battery at the start of the day.

I also had the screen brightness maxed out for the majority of the day. Due to limited space up front, I can’t tilt the 1222 up enough for the perfect viewing angle so I have to turn my brightness up to compensate.

I agree this thread is probably dying....

But I have to chime in on my set-up and be honest. I have been running Livescope with first a 93SV, then Livescope with a 106sv, 2 Humminbird Helix 12s, +Mega 360. These set-ups have been on both my current and last boat. Both boats were rigged with a 31 group Interstate AGM. I have NEVER had any power problems running all those electronics plus the livewells during a full tournament day of fishing.
If everything is rigged correctly, I believe there is no fear of running a standard AGM battery.

That is a Lithium Ion. Not what you want. Not even a good price.
You want Lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4)
