    Carbon 12 won’t recognize card for update file

    Any suggestions? Anybody work on these reasonably?

    Typically due to the card being larger than 32GB or not formatted to FAT32.

    I had something similar happen on mine. The update file was on the card, but the unit wouldn't see it. Had to manually go into the card and execute the update. You might try that if the card isn't too big like mentioned above.

    Been working on so many other things, this has been on the back burner. The card does not even show up nor do mapping cards. Pretty sure the slots are not being read. Anybody work on these?

    Does it read a map card? if so then its your card refer to post 2

    No. I've tried two different mapping cards as well.

    I've sent a Carbon 12 back to Lowrance, twice. Seems to be working now. Of course you have to be on the phone with them for an hour or so, and do the dance before you get a return authorization. Ship to Cali, then on to Mexico, back to Cali, and back to you.

    Or you could try this place. I have no experience with them.

    This is an older unit and not sure what if anything Lowrance would do for me. Thank you so much for the link though! Sent him an email, and we'll see how that goes.
