    How good are your seals???

I am wondering if any of you have asked yourselves this question, 'Are my axles seals good?', and you probably said to yourself ' I am sure they are fine, since I did them not too long ago'. That's what I thought until while putting air in the tires, I noticed grease smeared on back of fender rear cover.
Pulled tire off and I found more tale tell of possible bad seal.
Pulled brake drum, and this is the nightmare I have found, which is going to be a PITA to clean up.

Kinda sucks, but praise God that I found it at my shop than on the road somewhere.

Mechanic tells him that it will be a few hours so the polar bear goes over to the supermarket and buys a bucket of vanilla ice cream. It's a hot sunny day and he goes over to the park bench to eat it. Then he wanders back to the garage. "Looks like you blew a seal," the mechanic says. "Oh no," the polar bear laughs, wiping his moth. "That's just ice cream."

SORRY, I couldn't resist.........hope your repair goes well.

I have done a few of these, and it's just time consuming messy job.
