    Navionics Map Card Sharing Issue

Have a HDS8 Gen2 at the bow and a HDS9 Gen2 at the console that are networked together using an Ethernet cable. There is a Navionics chip in the HDS9 console and I select the Navionics for Chart on the HDS8 at the bow however it will not bring it up.
I checked the network at the HDS8 on the bow and it sees the HDS9 on the console. Can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Is it a setting out do I have an equipment issue?
    Any help would be appreciated.
Not sure if it matters but units are in a 2012 Ranger Z521.

The HDS 8 has to be fully updated. A software update made map sharing possible.

Sorry this is new to me. How do I upgrade the HDS8?

Go to Lowrance under the Support tab there are software updates. Find the one for HDS 8 Gen 2 and follow the instructions to download and update your unit

So I updated both graphs today to the latest software, the HDS8 to 4.0 and the HDS9 Touch to 6.0. Front HDS8 still not reading the Navionics card.
Any ideas what am I missing?

You need a (working) ethernetcable between the units, and they will share mapping. Sounds like your Gen 2 might have a bad memorycardreader.
