    Solix g3 won't boot up

I was setting up my instrument cluster the other day, when my screen just went blank. Now I can't get my Solix to start up.
It initializes just fine, scrolls the squares like it's going through the process of booting up, sticks there for a minute or two, then beeps like it's at the confirmation stage- but it's just a blank screen (still has power, just blank). None of the buttons work, and the only way to get it to turn off is holding the power button down. I removed it from the boat overnight, and no change.
I swapped with my g2, and the g2 starts just fine... showing 12.6- 12.7 volts at both locations.

    Any ideas?

Many times this is due to it being in night mode or on a brightness level of 1. Did you mistakenly change it? It's really easy to do on the Apex and Solix.

To test, boot it up and, after you are sure it is fully booted and on the blank screen, quick press the power button and then turn the rotary dial clockwise. That will turn up the brightness if it is turned down.

I would take any SD cards you have in out then try rebooting.

    For future readers-
Per Humminbird, this is a known situation and requires the unit be sent back for a reflash.

What exactly is the known issue - a glitch when you are reconfiguring gauge views?

The phone tech said the screen going blank, and not fully re-booting afterwards. Didn't say it was specific to what I was doing, just that they'd had the problem of screens going blank a few times before, and it requires the unit to be sent in for a reflash.
