Stereo install finished

Got the stereo install finished last week. Turned out great! Thanks to DREWTICK for a couple pointers before I got started. Installed a Kicker KMC2 marine media center and 3 Skar 6.5” speakers. Decided to try it without amp for now and it is plenty loud. I may add an amp later just because I’m curious on how loud and good it could sound. Also added powered usb in the center console.

Nice job, ive been curious about the skar speakers, never heard em before. Ive been considering upgrading the lowrance speakers that come with sonic hub2. What does the kicker head unit put out rms?

The head unit has four channels like a car stereo. Just don't have a front left speaker. I ran the wire but didn't put the speaker in. Still trying to decide where to mount it??? If I mount it up above the passenger rod locker I wouldn't be able to put my second console in. Then I just didn't know mounting two on the lower rod locker wall if it would sound good?

25 watts x 4. The Skar speakers are real real good for the price. Obviously can't speak for durability but sound wise shocked me. If they hold up it's a real good deal right now with them being on sale for $89 for a pair. I come from car audio and have had JL and Kicker. I would rank them right up there. These speakers can handle some watts. I can turn the kicker stereo up all the way to max with no distortion and you can tell the speakers have more in them. With an amp I think one would be surprised how good, clean, way louder they would be. With this 3 6.5" setup it rattles everything in the boat with the bass.

It's a fun project! Not too hard just a little time consuming. I finally did it because I got tired of charging and carrying a blue tooth speaker.

I just ordered one of Amazon. Who knows how long it will last??? I made it where I can easily swap it out with a new one if I have to.

Flaky is accurate. I have kept an adapter for the cigeratte lighter port

Nice job! I wish I would have pulled a few more panels like you did. probably would have made fishing wire easier. I put in a fusion radio and 2 infinity 6.5" and it sounds really good with no amp. For even more fun the radio is connected to my graphs and I have the hdmi output connector to my phone and can now watch bass live while fishing.

Pulling the back deck panel was smooth. Thanks to DREWTICK for that advice. That's pretty sweet being able to watch video on your graph!!!! It's crazy how good small speakers sound in our boats.
