    Question about MercMonitor

I have a Level1 MercMonitor that is about 8 years old and I have never been able to keep the screen brightness set. I change it to 100% but when I shut off the key and then turn it back on, it has changed back to 50%.(I saved the 100% setting before scrolling through the menu) I have read the manual several times and fiddled with it for a long time but can’t figure it out.
Not a big deal but wondering if I have a setting that is over riding the brightness setting.

I try to drive as if my 16 year old Grandson is following me

Do you perhaps have any other Smartcraft Instruments in the boat?

I don’t think so. The other gauges are analog.

There's a setting for "Remote Contrast" and "Remote Brightness". Try turning those features off and see if it retains the setting.
