    Problem with a terrova

Trying to figure out what is going on with my terrova 80 60 inch shaft. I have full battery my charger is showing full charge on both battery’s and I have checked them with a battery tester and they pass They are size 31 Duracell’s wet cells Now on the motor it will show me full charge but when I deploy it it will only show like 1 light and the motor will hardly work at all the turning motor is slow and the motor is slow and quites after a few seconds. Now I have opened it up it had a slight water inside I cleaned that up and it’s still doing it. Could it be a motherboard problem or what else can I look at or check

You said battery tester. Do you mean a load tester? I would not rule out connections anywhere in the troll motor system. Even a bat breaker especially one of the small can breaker on the battery they use to use. If it all checks out then you could have a bad board. Best thing to do is bring to an ASC and get it checked out independent of your boat.

Yes a load tester is what I used and all wire connections are clean. Check under head no problems there I did clean out the motor when I found water in there cleaned up magnets and armature too still does it I’m leaning to the board I may have to take it in and see

Well I did find water in the Lu. I did clean that up but I probably need new seals ect. And probably just replace the magnets and plate and wires and the armature looks good after I cleaned it up. But I think my mine problem is a battery that is acting up sometimes it won’t take a full charge and sometimes it will. Today when I got home from work I used my load tester and wouldn’t u know it it started working. Lucky I get my batteries from batteries plus so I can switch it out since they give me a year warranty and I’ve had both since late October. So for the motor I’m gonna replace the seals ect and I found a lock peice broken too so I’ll order that too

You need to look at the diagram for your troll motor because it is an all in one deal with the center section and the shaft. See link below.
