HDS12 Gen 3-no sonar

I’ve seen some old posts on this, but hoping there’s additional info out there.

I have no sonar readings and have tested a few transducers with the same result.

Under System, Sonar Version shows 0.0.0

I have tried the very latest updates (18) as well as reverting back to v 7.

Is the root cause of no sonar the fact that Sonar Version only shows as 0.0.0?

Is there anything that can be done or is this an unsolvable problem with the head unit?

I gave up on Lowrance tech support.

I would hard reset, install 18.2, do another hard reset, and then look at the sonar version again with a transducer installed. Be sure the software version is actually 18.2. If you still have no readings, I’d say the unit is toast.
