    Bearing / Bearing Buddy size?

Looks like it is time to repack my hubs. What size Bearing Buddy is the correct size.

I know I can order the right bearings off of the BassCat website (though they are more expensive there--if you can give me those sizes that would be great ;-) .) But, I can't order the Bearing Buddies and would like to have the right size before I start.

    Thanks in advance.

basscat ones with the blue disc are WAY better than bearing buddies.

So, no Bearing Buddies have a blue disk? I don't think that's true--these look a lot like what I already have on my trailer (photo via Amazon):

Unfortunately, whichever one I have, the fitting on the grease gun must have been the wrong size, because this is what happened today.

So, either way, I need to replace the Bearing Buddy, thus the question.

We continue to suggest never using a grease gun or pumping grease in hubs. Hand pack the bearings and leave them alone until you feel the need to service them.

We do not suggest pumping grease into any axles. We suggest you repack them occasionally (about 5 years) by hand and replace the seals. The return to grease hubs is going to require consumers learning that Bass Cat had an excellent success rate with grease hubs before. We have never suggested or endorsed placing a grease gun on the hubs. We will have to re-teach that all over again.

some of the bearing buddies have no blue disc? just a flat metal plate. ufp or someone else made the blue ones and I thing BB bought them maybe?? the blue ones are the best by far. the zerk on the grease gun is holding on too tight and caused that. loosen the outer collar on the zerk a little and you can control the tension on the jaws somewhat, can loosen it to where it falls off instead of breaking it

It's a shame they dont have torsion on all trailers. I would slap 4 new ones on every 3 years and sleep better at night.

    Thanks everyone.

The ones I am looking for are the 1.98-inch size.

    Cheers.

I went thru Bearing Buddies like a fat kid thru candy. I finally just put regular wheel bearing caps on and have never thrown since
