    Monongahela river?

    Probably a stupid question but Which way does the river flow?
    If I was at the Charleroi bridge does it flow towards Pittsburgh or towards Fredericktown ??

    The river flows north (towards Pittsburgh). When it reaches Pittsburgh it joins with the Allegheny to form the Ohio.
    when you see this on the water stop and say hi.

    It flows north towards Pittsburgh, but sometimes when the locks operate or a barge goes by, it seems like it flows upstream.
